The Paul Strank Charitable Trust Christmas Appeal 2024
The Paul Strank Charitable Trust is local charity raising funds for disadvantaged children and families. Each Christmas, we and our happy helpers raise funds for Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, which could go towards equipment including Cuddle Cots, Oxygen Machines and Cold Blankets. For those who don't know what Cuddle Cots and Cold Blankets are, they are used post-bereavement to allow family members a chance to say their goodbyes to the child who has sadly passed away.
It is an unfortunate and heartbreaking fact that over the coming winter months, many families will lose their child. The Hospice provides incredible support to the both the child and their parents, siblings and wider family during an unimaginably tough time, including respite, family events, activities, symptom management, end-of-life care and bereavement counselling. It cannot be overstated just how vital their services are.
